Economic Equity

Together, we prosper.

We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to secure their financial future and build generational wealth, regardless of credit, collateral, or status. That’s why we flip the script on lending and work outside the traditional banking system that so often excludes our neighbors. We advocate for innovative approaches like Baby Bonds and Children’s Savings Accounts that support wealth-building from Day 1.

We say we invest in people, and in this case, we mean it literally.

Our Programs

Microloan Program

The Microloan Program flips the traditional lending model and bases lending on trusted relationships between partner organizations – such as nonprofits, community organizations, and educational institutions – and individuals in the communities they serve.

Through our program, we offer microloans based on applicants’ relationship with our organization, their character, and their personal or business goals.

Baby Bonds

Baby Bonds provide a “nest egg” or “seed fund” to children at birth, helping to ensure every child has the financial foundation to pursue wealth-building opportunities later in life.

This investment supports children when they begin their adult lives by providing the economic resources they need to build long-term economic security and generational wealth.

Following the lead of our partner organization, Prosperity Now, PCA supports the awareness and implementation of  Baby Bonds at a federal, state, and local level to build greater economic equity for families.

Social Enterprise Center

The Social Enterprise Center is a flexible space for local residents to come together to collaborate, to learn, to create – and to build a strong future for us all. It can grow and change alongside community needs, and it’s up to our neighbors to decide how it’s used.

We have hosted young-parent meet-ups and leadership training sessions and we’ve nurtured the dreams of budding entrepreneurs. Currently, the facility features a textile manufacturing space, an early learning center, a risograph studio, offices, and a community meeting area.
