Social Enterprise Center

Community Action Campus

Together, we create.

The South Valley Social Enterprise Center is a 17,000-sq. ft. community hub located in the South Valley of Albuquerque, New Mexico- employing more than 50 people on a family-friendly campus that includes a 14,000 square foot textile manufacturing facility, a family engagement center, and on-site childcare for SEC employees.

Newly opened in 2022, the PCA SEC is the result of a diverse multi-sector collaboration, co-creating a model for employment equity and dual-generation access to educational opportunity as a new standard for local alternative economic development.

About The Social Enterprise Center

The Social Enterprise Center is a flexible space for local residents to come together to collaborate, to learn, to create – and to build a strong future for us all.

The work at the SEC promotes a creative, bottom-up strategy that builds on regional workforce assets to spur economic growth and resiliency, and develops a foundation for prosperity in an economically distressed community.

It can grow and change alongside community needs, and it’s up to our neighbors to decide how it’s used. We have hosted young-parent meet-ups and leadership training sessions, and we’ve nurtured the dreams of budding entrepreneurs. Currently, the facility features a textile manufacturing space, an early learning center, a risograph studio, offices, and a community meeting area.
Every community deserves a chance to rise. At PCA, we envision a future where Social Enterprise Centers like ours help neighborhoods everywhere build power from within and advocate for a secure future.
